    It was not the strategy. Vettel did his lap later than Raikkonen and yet went worse. The Mercedes always have been good with cold weather, they put heat on the rears very quickly. At some tracks they even don't bother to put the blankets on the rear tyres.

    The Mercedes warms it's tyres quickest here (and blisters them quicker). It heats easier, which means getting it to the right temperature is far easier than the Ferrari, which is very kind on it's tyres. Red Bull in between, which partially explains their troubles.

    Red Bull tend to run little downforce at the rear which may have cost them significantly here.

    That is not what Toto said...If it was only Hamilton I would agree with you but the fact that Bottas is following close suggests something else...
    Lewis asked why they kept him so long in the pits and he was answered that they want to give him the last shot on a track that became better. So they had some influence other than telling him to go quick.
    But as always: when Lewis is doing good it is ONLY him and nothing else. It is getting tiredsome...
