Your definition of " all time" seems very limited to me

 

The best "team" won. Not what I was hopping for but it is honestly what happened. It started in Q3 when Mercedes got their cars out there in less traffic and with better visibility. The Ferraris went out in traffic and couldn't see well enough to push harder. In the race, Mercedes got their drivers to do what they had to do and hold the first turn. Neither Ferrari made their best start. Add to that Ferrari's strategy of putting Vettel on soft tires gave him nothing to fight the Mercedes with. The Mercedes could hold their positions and not have to play catch up and that made Hamilton's tires last longer than Seb's or Kimi's. Then the Ferrari pit stops just handed away precious seconds. The Mercedes pit stops were as good as they had to be. Ferrari has the better car and certainly equal drivers. But the team doesn't match the Mercedes team in motivation or execution. Kimi drove well but where was the fight? Would Ricardo be as blasé as Kimi? Compare Ricardo's drive to Kimi's. At this point that leaves it up to luck to give Vettel and Ferrari their championships. Ferrari has a month to regroup. Let's hope they do.

 

Yeah...one of your patterns is to conclude your post with a condescending comment that puts someone into a particular box. I guess you find comfort in putting people into boxes. If you would actually read what I say, you will see that the box you chose is incorrect...therefore, it comes across as a childish snip. If you are unaware that you do this, I suggest that you reflect a little harder on the past two months, because it has been mentioned before.

The difference between best car and 5th best car is something quite significant. The power difference, is huge. Red Bull drives with an old spec renault. Mercedes with their newest engine. Big, big difference. The straight at hockenheim is 50% longer than here. The DRS zone is longer than the entire straight at hungary...

Lewis drove the car to 4th, and each subsequent place was inherited immediately due to SC and his opponents pitstops....which put them all behind him! So yes...Ricciardo driving a worse car, with far less power, on a track much harder to overtake (hardest on the calendar after Monaco)...so yes, I think his drive was noteworthy to say the least.

 

Okay...fair enough.

 

Great we have a month to contemplate the outcome IMO!

Did I say Ferrari 1-2 yesterday?

Well I only missed it by 1!

Ferrari kinda screwed up today. I think Hamilton would have won but at least they could have made it an interesting race (which is was not).

 

Good thing about that non-bet I asked you about . .
