Usually we're a lot worse in race pace, but whatever happens tomorrow, I'm already positively surprised.

That’s the thing though...in winter testing Ferrari was supreme out of low-speed corners and had great top-end speed. Did they overthink things with the front wing? The last three races is what I thought we would see all year. Granted they gave away a couple but the performances have been skittish at best.

Should be a good battle between CL and LH tomorrow. I’m hoping Seb keeps the red mist out of his eyes and doesn’t foul up the team’s race. Stoffel trying to push for “elbows out” tactics with LH but Hamilton properly reminded him that it’s a street circuit.

If there is no fracas at the start, Leclerc should be able to keep Hamilton at bay if he wins the drag race to the first corner.
Leclerc has the best car on this circuit, and Singapore isn't a place for heroics.
The rest dépends on tyre wear and pit strategy for both teams.

Or...... [And Williams may agree with me] LH44 and Mercedes KNOW that they have both Championships locked up and are simply driving just enough to keep Bottas behind to officially secure by the U.S. GP. :(

That has crossed my mind !
I am not suggesting they are relaxing, but maybe thinking about making these 2 titles mathematically secure.

    Me too.
Charles is the real deal and that’s exciting.
But as easy as it has been to pile on to Seb, he is still a human, and going through some tough times, and I hope he finds his mojo.

They are doing a 2016 Rosberg; collect enough points to maintain the championship at bay from the other driver. Having Ferrari / RB take points away from Bottas is what LH44/Mercedes want. I may not be a fan of LH44, but he has been smart in doing this.

    LOL.

I see HAM not wearing a cap to show off his new do.

Aren't they obliged to wear a cap, or is that just the Pirelli caps after the race? In any case pretty sure Merc pay him to wear their cap.

Leclerc, according to F1.com, has helped change the direction of development the car and is now reaping the benefits. First half of the campaign he was adapting to the car and not pushing for change...and ever since the changes have come he’s been on fire.

I feel zero empathy for Vettel, he’s been coddled, overrated, hyped up since Red Bull only to be destroyed by rookies like Ricci and Leclerc who have been defacto #2 drivers.

All I want from Seb is to red mist w max and take out Hamilton and Bottas, that’s where his only value lies right now.

I agree, however I think we forget Vettel is in his 30's and so is Lewis who is older and they have peaked. You can see its becoming harder for Lewis to stay in front and I still think Mercedes is the best car.

I think that once the championship is secured, Hamilton will be free to improve on his tally of GP wins, already in the 80s.
But now is the time for caution.

True, but Charles is the best thing that happened for Ferrari in a long time.

Finally the guts and wisdom in Maranello to go with a young and talented driver and who is allowed to challenge the the No.1 driver.
