FIA has confirmed that F2 qualifying will be happening in 30mins.
I remember years ago the same thing happening during an endurance race somewhere in North America (was it Montréal?) where several manhole covers on the circuit were dislodged and damaged cars. Walter Brun has his team completely wiped off, losing 2 Porsche 956/962 in separate incidents. In one instance, the manhole cover punctured the floor and landed where the "passenger" would sit, missing the driver by inches. Brun whose team had previously won the championship sued the organisers for gross negligence. It took years for him to get any form of compensation. So good luck to Williams!
Watching F2 qualy now on sky ...if you squint a bit this is just as good as F1 ...in fact who needs F1?
Sometimes I Wonder. The difference for me is that in F2 there is no well-known drivers, and also that they stay in that series for only a very short period (3 years max ?) . Apart from that, the racing is far better.
If I remember correctly from the days of yore, this was a lesson learned the hard way at Long Beach many moons ago. Apparently the people at Baku didn't get the memo. Actually, the blame should be placed squarely on the shoulders of the FIA inspectors. Shame on them.
Well crud, I don't have ESPNU. I remember this from last season, but no way I'm going to upgrade just for the odd FP.
