half way in FP1, Max up 0.6 on HAM, VER on hards, HAM on softs. Commentators say Red Bull believe they have fixed their rear wing wobbly issue.
Max could be world champ this Sunday, but not counting on it. HAM could be world champ with 2 wins.
Ferrari needs to lock up 3rd place.

End of session, Ferrari ahead of McLaren, Mick Schumacher way up on Mazepin who we saw in the garage, not sure if he had an issue with the car. Close at the top as the track keeps improving.

Reminiscent of a small Indy city course. Quali/a terrific start would have more weight on the outcome than other circuits, the guys are tripping over each other already.

Can’t see there not being a red flag at this one.

LH fastest without the more powerful PU
Bottas looking sorted but does normally overall in practice or qualy
Max looked good - not sure of course the PU level being run but he did look a touch rough in a couple parts.

 

Track completely cleaned little dust. No major graining on softs noted. Tire wear will be assess in longer runs Prac 2

As if the hybrid exhaust note is somehow seductive? The sound is more industrial to my ears.

 

GP2 qualy is on. Track amazing at night. Cooler track temp of course. Might have an effect on tires.

 

I think they made up an issue on Mazespin's car to keep him in the pit and avoid the predictable big shunt;-).

 

I thought he was running the Brazil ICE again, at least that's what formula1.com says.

 

They will fit that engine tonight for practice 3, qualifying and the race.
