Well said. Nice graphics lol! How many LH owns here. We have a Max win they still talk about LH LOL P A T H E T I C !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know it was easy to miss if you were focused on the leaders, but you do know Lewis was in today's race, right?
Bummer for charles. Max whines too much on the radio! Who does he think he is Hamilton? Respect to Charles...professional and all business.
Yawn? That's rather rude. Anyway I bothered to look it up. It was related to what I remembered, but the opposite: Depailler died because there were no catch fences. They had been removed because of the motorcycle race beforehand and weren't reinstalled. That's why he went straight into the armco.
The Depailler accident was probably caused by mechanical failure, namely one side of the front suspension collapsed. There were marking left on the ground to support that theory . That's what other drivers concluded, having inspected the site. The Alfa took off and landed upside down on the armco, probably killing poor Depailler instantly. Personally, I was never conviced of the virtue of catchfencing.
I think Charles should get Ferrari to put STFU on the back as a hint to Max ............. Max is driving smart this year but really needs to stop crying like that other idiot
LH had a faster car than Nico? Jensen had more wins than LH during there three years as teammates? LH had the fastest car in 2021? All utter (recycled) drivel.
Did Merc build the car to suit Lewis or Nico? Who got preferential strategy? Parts? Qualifying position? Thought so.
Rest assured I was not being rude just expressing the fact that I had to wait too long for you to see your memory confusion It is believed that one of the sliding skirts of Depailler's Alfa got stuck in the up position but in a straight line he could not know it and when he arrived at the Ost Kurve he had far too much speed without the down force and shot straight on...with no catch fences to slow him down... Speaking of the other accident we were discussing ironically the catch fences may have had a role in Villeneuve's passing when he landed as his helmet may have caught on one of the poles but the accident was so bad it might have only had a fractional influence on his passing. I was 17 and devastated....
Interesting comment about the skirts on the Alfa. Didn't know that. Yeah, I was pretty much devastated as well when Gilles died. I saw that footage in replay on TV. Pretty horrible. I think there wasn't much that could have saved him (given the technology at the time). If you think about the forces at play ripping the seatbelts out, I think he was a quadriplegic before he even hit the ground. Instant death was kind of a blessing.
