Yet another chinning administered by CLC!
If you guys want to have strong laughs i suggest a trip tom Planet f.1, Jees all the moaning going on there about poor Elton is just unbelievable...i've seen funerals a lot more cheerfull!
It’s the reason we don’t see Isobel anymore. I don’t think it’s a “rigged” sport, but there was impending fan mutiny going back to France when Merc was running away with things. By Austria (next race) everything tightened up significantly. It may not be rigged, but it has always been about “The Show”. I’m just struggling to understand how Ferrari, clearly the most popular team on the grid, was such a dumpster fire for so long when it looked to be the dominant team coming out of winter. Were the sport rigged, it would be a 3-way brawl between Charles, Lewis and Max down to the wire. OTOH, Merc seem a little too calm about their reversal of fortune, but F1 as a whole has benefitted greatly from it.
Yep. Talk about a guy single handedly taking all the fun out of an entire F1 race. One boring track after another.
Forum vets know her well. Very knowledgeable & humorous poster (inventor of driver nicknames). Loves the Scuderia but troubled by the Liberty version of F1
Lec seems to be getting faster with every race. If Seb gets a good start tomorrow, he should be able to pip elton on the run down to turn two as he'll be on much faster tires, plus Ferrari have been mighty in the 1st sector. Lets hope for another 1-2 tomorrow.
Unfortunately, we cannot stop Little Elton from a relatively easy 6th WDC this year. However, at least Charles can make every weekend tougher and less pleasant for the remainder of this year and make next year pure HELL!! Forza Charles!
Interesting strategy. Would seem to position Seb well to take second at the start. There are passing zones here, though, so tire strategy could play a role.
If it's a 1-2 tomorrow it Ferrari will take it away for CL. I'd rather see a 1-3 with CL taking the win.
With Ric it would be dream team! For those who thought Vettel would be recharged after his win in Singapore, Vettel crushed those expectations straight away. It's back to standard - poor qualy performance and no improvement on second run. As I wrote already, if it wasn't for Charles, Ferrari would be looking second best again - like they have all these years Vettel's been driving for them.
There is something about Seb's comportment that makes me think he's already thrown the switch. On the podium in Singapore he looked almost wistful, as though he wanted to take it all in.
Isobel - Very classy and incredibly cult canadian lady on the F.1 section. Expert in giving nicknames to all f.1 drivers. Prowd owner of a green Ferrari, with an inteligence vastly superior to most on this site, she's known for her refined sense of humour and always keeping her cool even under the most stressfull discussions!
I do think Seb is done. He generally does not seem happy or hungry. He was an entirely different person when he was racing and winning with Redbull. It seems as if he is the kind of driver that can push harder than most when the stars align and he wins. But he seems to lose his focus and spirit fast when he does not get his will. I don't think he cares enough to go race for a "lesser" team after this.
