Had a chance to drive a BMW formula car from the nineties on Mallorca's Llucmajor 2 mile racetrack. Great deal: 5 sessions to 20 minutes with personal instructor and all day at the track (nobody else there) for just under $ 600. Two sessions were following the leader learning the line and the car's limits, the rest was as fast as you dare to go.

    Car specs:
    110 hp
    350 kg
    5 gear sequential gearbox
    4 cyl BMW K 1100 engine
    slicks
no ground effect, but wings were necessary

Car was very narrow, tight squeeze. Tighter than F1 cars etc.
Track runs clockwise and has some elevation changes.

While I have driven faster cars (F1), I felt I really needed more seat time to progress from gokarts. I still need more time, but F3 starts to feel more like an old friend (had another session in France with F3 some years ago as well as Skip Barber).
