Guess this time doesn't work too well for Speedy! Hopefully he & his famous grabs will be along soon...... Just watched the drivers presser; They're saying the long straight will see the highest speeds we've seen all year. Cheers, Ian
It's damp!..... They're all on inters at the moment. Gotta say, first impressions of the place are very, very good. As with everything in Mexico, it's almost, but not quite, finished of course.
Sorry, no links here - I VPN myself to the UK and use my sons Sky Sports subscription. Hopefully, someone will be along shortly. FWIW; Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bas grabs! Seems they're all struggling with the altitude; Thin air seems to be something they're not used to. I love it!
I personally have problems with athletics at altitude. They have a medicine for it now you take the week before. Wonder if anyone planned for that.
I'm pretty sure the jockeys are aware. The "great unknown" is how these PU's (& brakes it seems!) behave at ~6,000 feet ASL. As we know, "thin" air changes many things.
When Rosberg was told the team were going to give him a "Hot Wheels" model of his car, it wasn't quite what he thought it would be! Image Unavailable, Please Login
But it doesn't affect turbo engines as much as atmo ones. If affects the aeodynamics and cooling though ...
Mad Max is the most exciting driver in F1 right now and reminds Me a bit of Gilles Villeneuve with his "what the Hell!-Give it a go!" style of driving. He's a bit of a rough diamond right now but if I were in charge of a top team, I'd be making some serious enquiries about getting him on board! (Come on Ferrari - Don't miss the boat on this one!).
