The largest crowd ever to watch a Formula One race in America is at Indy right now. Next year will be the smallest crowd if there is a race here.

Will someone please tell me why a curve which is almost 100 hundreds old is too hard for Formula One tire?

Because they can't change the tires anymore, most races tire changes are allowed.

But on your subject line, I fully agree with you, we are witnessing the end of F1 in the U.S. !

Whatever U.S. fans F1 has won over the last decade have just been lost.

Sad, Sad day for Formula One racing! It took them SO many years to get a race back to the USA, and five more to build it up to this .................. and now .......... "Poof" .....................Gone!

This defently could be an end to the US GP, unless they deside on another track within the US

Remember you said that after some or all of the drivers die because of crap you suggested be thrown on the track ! Can't believe I just read that on this board, there are 6 people out there who its not their fault and are risking their lives with crap on the track.

What you just said is TOTAL B.S. and unbecoming a FChat user.

HIROLLER you are a duma$$ in the extreme if this is what you really feel.

-I'd suggest you re-read your post and then think about what you said. If you've ever been on a track you'd NEVER even think this, much less say it! It's no different than me saying I wish you'd get hit by a brick thrown from an overpass on the interstate cause it'd be fun to watch! Tell me (and everyone else on this board) that you just misspoke in a fit of anger.

Well, my brother is right. The Formula One drivers can NOT drive on our freeway system. We have high speed banking on our fly overs and curves. The Japanese can make tires for the world, not the French. The fat guy can roll down the hill but not around a twisty.

I wonder what the price of a ticket will be next year or will they pay to have a few people come to the race? The TV ratings must be sucking big time today. How many viewers have switch to NASCAR or golf.

CRAP! Today is Father’s day and I wanted to see a great win by Ferrari. Now I get a piss poor win.

Michelin didn't want to race with the tyres they committed to.

We can debate it a load more with respect to compromise agreements and the rest, but this is a racing formula with very clearly (perhaps too clearly!) defined rules and regulations that everyone signed up to a long while ago.

One of the two manufacturers (who is arguably less "competitive" normally - conservatism with build?) looks to be able to meet the rules.

    Michelin could not.

For once I do not see the FIA or the circuit owners to blame. Nor the Bridgestone running teams. But I sense much of the blame in the media and the public's eyes is going to get levelled at FIA and Ferrari.

    Sad weekend for racing.

Incidentally, I doubt Bernie will sweat not having the US GP all that much. He has countries lining up to host GPs.

    His profile says it all.

    Joker in the 1st degree.

Maybe a lifetime ban would do him some good.

I really would like to go to another F1 race in the US & hopefully at Indy. This race was my first I had attended. Maybe thats why I enjoyed myself so much at Indy 2005. The power & sound (not to mention the feeling of those cars go under you when your on the Bridgestone bridge) is so intoxicating. I apologize to all hardcore F1 fans, but I had a blast. Those cars are amazing machines even if your watching 6 of them. I can't wait to go again! I took a short video of the Ferraris going through the S-turn, i'll try & post it.
