Sweeeet! I hope its a bit less hot than last year for you, oh and wear good shoes, you have the longest walk possible.
11 are the best though. Been there done that. Word of advice, you HAVE to somehow get yourselve tickets for the ferry that runs from the Old Port to the Gold Stands. If not, it is a 2 hour walk after the GP. (Or 1 hour elsewhere) plus the time to get the Metro (Shut down on Sunday after GP).
Sat there last year, great view...yes, a long walk after the GP but the casino was a good interuption along the way. Have a great time.
In section 3 you can only see the cars right as they hit the Senna curve then disappear up the hill. If you can move over to section 6 of stand 12 that's probable the best view of the race (even better than stand 11). Bob
If I could go this year it would definately have picked section 12, it will be worth the walk IMO, i was in section 1 last year and as great as it was (right on the startline/Ferrari pits/podium) I think i would prefer the view of the first corner, and all the rest, more action.
Somebody else told us about that, and I can't believe that after 10 years of going to the race we never found it! Evil, evil beer.
I've got some pretty great seats in 24 that I don't think I will ever give up. Easy access, rowing canal "beach" and a secret real bathroom and drinking fountain just steps away which came in handy in 05 in that swealtering heat.
I wanted to get GS 24, best Grandstand in my opinion, but $360 CDN is a bit steep for my liking, So i decided to go for the best $195 Grandstand, which is 31 i would think.
These tickets were provided to me by an employee of the marketing company for the event, there will also be private parties and paddock access
Been there, loved it! I want GS 24 again or GS 12 (never been) But it's boring when you're alone all day with no one to talk to. That's why I'v decided to go with you guys.
I got advanced tickets (and the 2005 ticketholder discount). I'm in Grand Stand 12 again. I'm not too far from your seat.
Have you been in 24 before? We get different assignments each day but I worked at the hairpin entrance race day last year.
Last year was my first year sitting there. My seats are actually #1,2,3 of section 1 about half way up, so we are actually opposite the corner itself, rather than along the straight section of road. You guys had some action in the F-BWM race as I recall. Friday was also cool to see Scott Speed's first ever lap in an official F1 timed session.
F-BMW's were pesky, we also gathered a pranged Challenge car. Friday I was at turn 3 where Speed spun and hi-centered, but I wasn't one of the responders. I blue-flagged the GP and had a great time. I've always thought the tickets in that area were about $200US! I considered auctioning off my program to stand 34 after Schumacher and Barrichello signed it during the Driver's Parade... but decided against it as it's the first item they've both signed for me.
