Anyone have it and care to share their feedback? I have it in my 458 and love it. I think it makes a big difference to the overall experience.

    Thx in advance,

Note: I used the search engine and only found a couple of relevant comments from 2019.

It’s just a valve controller right? If so, must have for the 812 in my opinion.

Correct. The Forza Com. is just a simple and relatively cheap controller of the valves. In the 458 valves don't open until >3k and the difference is actually pretty big. With this simple gadget, you can always have them open with the press of a button.

I have a capristo controller for my 812, works great and helps with the sound from idle. The 812 isn’t necessarily a quiet car, but I like having the valves open all the time. Can’t speak to that brand, but if you’ve had success with it, should work fine for the 812.

Wonder if it would make a real difference in the F8, since to your point the 812 already sounds great and the F8 is the one that actually needs it more...

But for the price, honestly I feel it's worth it to have the choice anyways.

I felt like it made a WORLD of difference on the 458, but not so much on the 812. That being said, now that I have the GTS and I can hear the exhaust more clearly, it is being installed as we speak. I would definitely do it to the 812, because the burbles will be more pronounced and the low end more full.

Yes, that appears to be the one.

Unfortunately the F8 has an electronic control now, and is much more of a pain to install the valve controller. I hate how quiet my F8 is, but at least it’s a ton of fun to drive!

And I will tell you that this subtle sound combined with the turbo whistles has actually grown on me. Little louder would be better, yes, but I absolutely love the F8’s driving experience including its elegant engine note.

Side note: So I guess you also have the modern v12 and v8 in your garage? How does that feel? How do you use them?

The 812 will be my 4th Ferrari and it still feels the same as the first one (458S) from 3 years ago.

The F8 is a great complimentary car to the 812. The F8 is a much more refined driving experience whereas the 812 is this raw in your face beast of a car. Both are incredibly fast, which just seems to be the state of all super cars these days. The 812 is more comfortable overall, but the F8 is still great for long drives. My F8 is the spider, so getting the top down experience on a nice sunny day is pretty great. My wife loves to drive the F8 and I love to drive the 812, so it works out pretty well.

I split my daily driving between the 2 cars, but find myself grabbing the 812 keys more frequently. If someone wants a thrill ride, the 812 is much better for that as it’s an extremely theatrical car. It’s loud, it throws passengers around, and it handles in ways people don’t expect. If someone wants to go for a chill backroads experience, the F8 is the better car for it. The F8 will carve the corners with ease and not make anyone scream with terror. My 812 is lowered on novitec springs, and I drive it like a bat out of hell basically all the time.

    love it!

I’m approaching it in a pretty similar way, except I thought the F8 was going to be my spirited driving choice, given it’s light weight, while the 812 was going to be the more daily driver and commuter choice. The F8 is also a lot more flashy (see pics attached).

But then I read reviews and your own comments, and I feel like I may have a really hard time ever leaving the 812 parked! My intention is to alternate between both as much as possible - what an amazing position to be in…

For spider I have the F355 with a Capristo exhaust. Talk about drama…

The 812 has that emotional connection that I feel like the F8 lacks a little bit. Not to say the F8 isn’t, but the 812 is just a different feeling. My 812 is incredibly understated, and largely gets confused with a corvette which is what I wanted. My F8 gets all of the attention lol.

thats so funny. I literally just compared the 812 bonnet to the Vette in a recent discussion.

Is that 812 Grigio silverstone by any chance? :)

Yep, Grigio Silverstone. I love that color, I would have loved my F8 in it too. But my wife wanted Bianco Cervino with a red interior, and I had sold her fun car. So she got to spec the 2nd Ferrari

For what it’s worth I have the forza controller on my GTS currently but switching to the capristo on next week when my kiddo is home from college and I have an extra set of hands. It’s am I going but the forza controller allows you to pin the valves shut and if you do accidentally, the car doesn’t like. Easy reset on startup but I have heard a rumor that some dealers are saying the forza version could impact warranty but they actually sell the capristo one. My thinking is Better safe than sorry as I plan to keep my now 10k mile GTS forever. And as noted…it’s a great and relatively inexpensive add. The downshifts sound amazing!!

yeah the down shifts on the 458 were the most noticeable difference to me too. I’ll check with my local dealer too.

I have the Capristo valve controller on my 812 and it’s most noticeable on the down shifts and the engine slowing or running down the rev range. Around town in slower traffic as well. It’s very noticeable as it is valve open. Very happy I did this a couple of years ago. Highly recommend and the Ferrari dealer orders the controller as well as installed it for me.

Just got my GTS back today, and WOW, what a difference. I guess it helped the sound on the 812SF more than I gave it credit, but it was just harder to hear in that cabin. Much improved sound in the low and and off-throttle.

It’s so freaking cool ! I’m excited for you! Just be glad the GPF did not impact this car like it did the F8. With just the back window down, the superfast never sounded half as good or full.

I have to say I just couldn’t pull the trigger on the GTS given the price tag and I ended up going for a 2018 SF that I know sound a bit louder than the 2020 and newer because they added GPF to them - still sounds amazing compared to the F8, but I’m over that now.

But I test drove the GTS and nothing beats that rear window down…

Oh, that’s right. Sorry, I didn’t reread the thread. You’ll love it. I mean, the car handles better than the GTS, and just keep it in race mode. IF I could have a non-GPF GTS, I would…if that says anything[emoji6].

I know what you mean. But with the Capristo controller AND that rear window down… you will be fine! :D

yeah I’m also going to drive the crap out of the SF in the mountain pass so I wanted to get ‘all the handling dynamics I could get’.

here she is at the dealer. Now I’m waiting on your HD video :D
