I'm waiting to hear user reviews on the car list, modifications, online experience, etc before I commit. Nothing quite like eating 65% of the purchase price at trade-in time...

What do you want to know? Car list is posted online, seems quite short compared to FM4. Modifications are the same as FM4, pretty much exactly the same, but no tuning options. Online is meh, no traffic in free roam kind of ruins the whole thing.

So you can do motor swaps, forced induction, body mods, wheels, paint, layers, etc? All as taken directly from FM4? Link to the car list?

I don't know. I played the demo again yesterday and it just left me feeling all mehhhhh inside. I can still play FM4 for hours but after the 15 minutes of demo time I didn't get upset that it ended...

Yes you can, All the mods are exactly the same, as far as I could tell.

It's very "meh" that's why I sold it after two days.

Due to the lackluster enthusiasm of those that have already played it I have decided
to cancel my LCE preorder and go back to playing Ferrari Legends :p

I bought that too, it was on special :p

I started playing it for a bit its fun and a change to the FM4 grind (I"m going for 100%). I think everyone was expecting this game to be a Forza Motorsport Open World Edition. The Festival isn't anything special just a hub to the shops, I was expecting... something different.

The game bugged out on me and it gave me 2 copies of all the gift cars.

The most annoying things so far have been the (DIRT style) announcer chick who keeps tabs on your progress and the idiot DJ on the radio but you can disable him in the options. The radio stations keep changing depending on the event which is annoying.

The lack of customisable controls is very annoying. They could at least give us the same button mappings FM4 provides.

If you liked the demo you will like the game.

It's fun for a short time and then you kind of wonder why you're playing it as there isn't really anything to do. The races get pretty boring as you start racing pretty fast cars pretty quick and money is easy to come by. After a couple days you have a good chunk of change and nothing you really want to spend it on. It takes maybe 3 hours to drive all the roads so really after about 2 or 3 days you really don't have much to do. At least in FM4 you have plenty of cars to play around with and you can just go out and start setting/beating lap times.

Well now I have about 5hrs under my belt. I really like this game :D

I dunno how you guys finished it in 10hrs~ Maybe you just fast travelled everywhere? I like driving to locations and cruising around doing all the side missions etc.

I don't understand why driving on the "same" roads more than once is a problem for you guys. That's what you do in racing games. Same track again and again and again... why not open road? (like REAL LIFE!!! LOL)

Yeah the game has some issues but for what it is, a NFS/TDU2 competitor it's good :) The only thing that's disappointing was the festival. It doesn't feel like a festival at all and if you removed it from the game nothing really changes.

Not having traffic in multi-player isn't a deal breaker since 95% of the game will be offline.

I guess we shall see how I feel in a weeks time

Here's what I hope to get out of the game.

My gaming time is usually in the evening for about two hours, five nights a week. It's a great diversion from my often hectic day. I've played a lot of games and I don't think I've ever sat down and played one straight through until I finished it. I want it to last as long as I can and have something to play when I turn the xbox on at night.

I'll do the events and smash signs and look for barn finds but do it as a natural progression of the game and not try hard to get them all the first day. I hope I use up a few game sessions doing it.

I like doing the rival events, I assume there will be several and change monthly. That will help a lot in extending the game play. It will always be challenging because there will always be somebody's time faster than me that I will spend lots of time trying to beat. As a VIP I'm hoping there will be special VIP only rivals with gift cars like they had in Forza 4.

I'm a photographer. I will spend countless hours painting or buying liveries and then finding cool locations for pictures and will have a gallery of my pictures on a Forza related website I'm building. With new cars being added in DLC and the the openness of the map, the time spent doing just this will be limited only by my desire and creativity.

I'm not an intricate painter in Forza but I do enjoy making my own liveries and I enjoy the results. It will be really rewarding to paint a car and then photograph it in the Forza Horizon environment. It is something I can always do in the game and still be doing something new several months later.

They have a nice, diverse selection of cars. A little something for everyone. It would be nice if they had many more. We know at least 40 more will be coming as DLC, gift cars and unicorns. I'll be looking forward to each new car and have fun driving them like I will all the ones that came with the launch. It will also be something new to paint and photograph.

I'm a little bummed that there is no traffic in multiplayer but I'll still have fun with friends driving around or setting up events or creating photo ops with others. The only limit here is creativity and willingness to play. Adding friends insures something different will happen each time and that helps keep it fresh.

In December they will release the expansion pack and it will focus on Dirt. New roads and surfaces. There's new cars and events and it will inject new life into the game. New rival events and more stuff to paint and photograph = extended gameplay.

By that time I'll be playing Black Ops 2 and I'll have two different games that will fill up my game time until the next version releases far off in the future. I'll switch between the two for whatever I'm in the mood for. Not only will I get my money's worth out of the game, I'll get hours and hours of gameplay that will be more than adequate to fill my nightly gaming diversions.

I just got home with my LCE and won't get to it until tonight but I saw on the forum that people were having a similar problem of not seeing cars.

One person said that you have to complete the first few races to get to the point where the places like the garage and stuff opens up before all the cars show up to buy.

Some cars that you are given a code to download don't go straight to your garage and aren't immediately available to drive. You get the exclusive car but it first appears in the place where you buy them in the game. You are downloading the option to buy it with in game credits.

Some people had trouble downloading and either had to go to their download history and try again or if it downloaded but hasn't shown up anywhere in the game, backing completely out and reloading the game made it appear.

I hope there is something above that gets you going in the right direction :)

I picked the game up this morning and I have to say it's much better than TDU2 so far. But then again.. What isn't better than TDU2 haha.

It seems waaay too easy to get money though. I beat the mustang challenge and turned Traction Control off and racked up the drift points waay too easily. I ended up buying a Diablo in the first few minutes of playing.

Overall though I'm enjoying the game so far. Hopefully it doesn't get boring in a few days.

Of course when I get on Xbox it makes me do a stupid update that will serve no purpose. It seems like I always have to do that when I get a new game even before I put it in the tray.

I'm a bit bummed that I couldn't get the LCE but I'm sure I'll be able to pay extra for them. We'll see though.

I am having so much fun racing my Girlfriend through the canyons-458 Italia Spyder vs Diablo SV.... Can't wait to join a car club so we can get a few cars out for a nice drive. Is kind of a let down that there is no Ferrari 360 or CS but I guess we have to make due with what we have.

Ohh.............. well I'm only playing FM4 to 1k the game. I got bored of it 6+months ago  It's does a bad job at being a racing game and a good job at being a track day out game. I have 1200+ race wins under the belt and I watch TV while I play FM4 it's that boring now lol.

The driving in between races is what I like about these type of games more than the actual racing which can be tedious at times  I didn't care to much that it wasn't open world like TDU2 but now I wish FH was more open so crashing meant losing it big time not bouncing off walls :( I couldn't even make a fire hydrant explode :( and the "kudos" points system needs tweaking.

How in the heck do you find the "barn finds" when they give you an area? You can't get out of the car, so they can't be in garages right?

haha. Just look for "barns" you can drive up on to the property which is always a sign the car is there. Once you get near the garage there is a silly cutscene. Then you wait like 10mins in game time and your mechanic calls you saying it's ready... but don't be in a rush to get them I had 2-3 barn finds waiting for me.

Do you have to get them in order? I went to where the 250 TR was and it wouldn't work. Do I also have to have the map?
