just drove by FoS and it was empty - have they moved?
What? They close around 4pm. I was there talking to Craig around 3:30ish...my car was parked out front. They may have simply moved cars around....either to storage or for an event
Last nite I was making the rounds and witnessed some intense Tiger Woods video golf in the showroom... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is FoS a stand-alone operation, i.e. not one of a number of dealerships under common ownership? If so, it may be in a more precarious position than RTGT. A totally empty showroom is strange.
They probably just noticed there was nothing going on with Fchat and it needed a little excitement. I guess it worked. FOS isn't going anywhere.
I think they mentioned to me once that they were going to do the floors or redo the floors... maybe it is in preparation for it.
Ok... what a bunch of old ladies... does NO ONE else have a PHONE? I just called them - the Seattle police warned them on Friday that a riot could break out in that neighborhood - sort of a WTO sort of thing - and they could be targeting high end cars. So Friday night they moved all the cars to storage. On Saturday they moved them all back for the sales day, then again Saturday night they moved them all back to storage. The riot never happened - the cars are all safe and back on the showroom floor - and Ferrari of Seattle isn't going anywhere. Mystery solved.... by a simple PHONE CALL! Jedi
Jedi, dude...where's the fun. We guys like having a little bit of mystery on our hands. You've just spoiled that for us. Just kidding..thanks for the updates.
Hey, I said it was strange; you gotta admit that it was! (I am generally not an alarmist, but Lamborghini Portland closed pretty fast and it was a shock).
Hmmm...strange. I wonder what was going on Cap Hill that would have trigger a riot last week? There was some protesting a while back about the wood carver shooting but what about really recently?
I remember someone once saying, "give me a bullhorn and a box, and within an hour I will have a group of people protesting popuri".
Since you say you weren't shocked, I'm guessing that a couple of years ago, you did a back of the envelope analysis of what you thought your competition's business revenues and expenses looked like and thought "they'll be out of here." Is that it or were you hearing from guys on the inside?
Anarchists came to town, and causing trouble a couple weeks ago...they returned again this past weekend. Three arresting Friday night...but that was about it.
