Ok, so I've found a 360 CS through a private seller. Car has done 19,000 miles, freshly serviced, red without stripe with full black/red alcantara interior. Up for £90k but will accept £85k.

There is another car on sale with similar mileage for £75k in dark blue, but red seems to command a hefty premium.

Is this a fair price considering milleage? I'm not concerned about cars history etc but I appreciate 20,000 miles is a psychological mileage barrier that might be hard to crack when I come to sell. Cars with 3,000 - 10,000 miles are on offer for around £100k now so would seem like a good price, but I'd hate to find I can only shift it in a year for say £70k if its done around 23,000 miles by then... obviously this is like predicting the lottery to some degree, but I'd appreciate some feedback from someone with experience!

I was in a relatively similar situation when I recently bought my 360. I was concerned
about the fact that it was a 2001, but it had less than 7000 miles, was, to all intents and purposes, a 1 owner car and had the spec and colour combo I wanted.

I paid a premium for it because of the mileage and the fact that it was from an official dealer and had full service/cambelt change freshly done. I was worried about resale and losing the good parts about it like mileage, etc and that if I put 6000 miles on it, it becomes like every other 13000 mile 2001 car out there.

Then I decided that worrying too much about resale makes you lose sleep and as I like sleep so much I just decided it wasn't worth worrying about. I think if you're that concerned about it's resale value ( or any example's resale value ) then a Ferrari isn't the car for you. Buy it, drive it and enjoy it, you only live once and if you lose 10 grand and can cope with that, o say go for it.

On Sunday I fully realised that I'd made the right choice by finding a stretch of 8 or so miles of B-road near Aylesbury, flicked her into sport mode and almost wet myself for an adrenline-fuelled 10 minutes (or so). When I finished, I agreed with myself that I'd have paid a grand to do that if I didn't own one and I can do it again whenever I like! That's worth any depreciation to me!

Hope that helps and good luck with your decision. Let us know how you get on.

By the way, there are specialists in the UK (assuming that's wher you're buying) that will check the car over for you (at a reasonable price) for piece of mind.
