I know someone who stayed in one of the suites which ran about $500/ night. She really liked it. Teething problems? Not really. Maybe some management changes. It really depends on what you want to do and where you want to go. And I think some MGM properties are actually too busy with too many people. One of its best features are its pool areas.

But if you want to be in walking distance to a lot of properties, the lower or mid strip is better.

Edward: There's not just enough info provided for us to help you. Do you just want a standard room, or you looking for view/ suite of some kind? At FB, you are kind of on an island up there, a beautiful island, but you do not want to do a lot of walking around there. Caesar's. Bellagio, Horseshoe area probably close to 45 minute walk and a $ 25 Uber ride w/o dynamic pricing. You will get a better rate dealing directly with the property if you are in their loyalty program. Sign up is free. The Venetian has the largest standard rooms. Aria was providing good value there for awhile, but Bob is right about the MGM properties, and it will get worse now that they have a deal with Bonvoy...and if you happen to have some status with Bonvoy that might help you get an upgrade or better room rate. This is not a hard and fast rule, and some may disagree, but I think there are three levels of casino hotel on the Strip. Luxury such as Bellagio, Wynn, FB. Second Tier such as Venetian, Cosmo, Park MGM, Mandalay, MGM, etc. and then third tier like Mirage, Harrah's, Paris, PH and so on. Of course, there is market segmentation even within the same property. RW has three distinct hotels, and many (Caesar's has Nobu, Mandalay/Four Season's, etc.) have a hotel within a hotel.

It's in a terrible location if you want to walk anywhere.

We had an invitation to the Poodle Club on the 64th floor of the FB. Spectacular is not too enthusiastic. Awe inspiring views of the city and first class in every respect. No photos allowed. I like that.
