FoW APPRECIATION LUNCHEON AND TECH SESSION, Saturday, November 17, 2007 - - Start around Noon Allie Ash and his crew at FoW have been huge supporters of the FCA ever since Allie started FoW in the early '90s at his first facility around the corner from his current location. The FCA-MAR is fortunate to have such enthusiastic long-term support, so we'd like to close out this driving season before the first snowfall with a gathering at FoW. Well show our appreciation for their outstanding support of the FCA in 2007 with a free lunch for his crew and all who attend. ALL FERRARI ENTHUSIASTS ARE INVITED. Also, heres a chance for a technical Q&A session after lunch with the guys who know the cars. Please post your questions and RSVP me for a lunch count on this thread or PM me. I'll get the questions and lunch count to Redding by next Friday. Let's hope for good weather so we can bring along some neat Italian cars. Bill
Me too. I don't have any "real" technical questions on my 430, just a few more on how to work the options on that radio! (LOL).
Bill, I would be interested in hearing any advice or comments on racing brake pads, fluids, air pressures for tires and so on, anything within the realm of tracking the car. Also, I would love to hear about the different tires for the 360, from Pirelli to Bridgestone and Michelin. Oh and lastly, tips on winter storage for the cars, how often to start them up and so on. Most of these I have heard different answers and would just like to hear what they recommened. Thanks. Robert
Good question . . . and they are the right people to ask. FoW has been seriously and successfully running the Challenge Series since it started with 348s way back in the '90s. Allie is an accomplished driver from all those years in Challenge and Vintage Ferrari racing. Glenn Marquis was the racing team manager for many years and now runs the service shop. I think you'll get some excellent info on setting up the 360 for the track for club events or for the "real thing." Bill
I'll be there Saturday for the tech session/appreciation lunch, unfortunately not with a "neat Italian car" but with a cool German car....hope that's ok Yesterday, I let Redding know I'd be attending, see ya there! L.
I think it starts at noon, I am planning on getting there a little before that to check out the food!!!!
What a nice event. Many thanks to everyone in FCA MAR and at FOW. Bill Ebert did a great job on this event. The lunch food choices were great. Glenn and his technical crew were more than generous to share their car knowledge with us. Thanks to everyone at FOW for hosting us (Tam, Redding, Ralph, Augie, Jack, Bob, Arnie, Rob, etc.) Here are some pictures of FCA members' cars in the parking lot. . Toggie: Great seeing you again. Thouroughly enjoyed our chat! Great time! Great Lunch and tech session. Bill, Glen, Redding and all the guys THANK YOU for a great time! The Bobert
Thanks. It was fun sitting around and talking cars. Here are a few more pics. The carbs and velocity stacks on the 250 GTO were something to see. The yellow/black 575M in the parking lot was a nice one. And here is my black 430 on a tree-covered lane I saw on the way home. That was nice. A good reason to run over to Virginia and see some great cars. Thanks to FOW and FCA MAR for putting this one. Here are some photos from today. Seeing both those F40's together was very cool. And I agree that those velocity stacks on the 250 were beautiful! The SuperLeggera wasn't too hard on the eyes. regards ken Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
