Does anyone know anything about fractional ownership of a ferrari? Is this a good idea or what?

It's similar to fractional ownership of a wife, except you feel less possessive about the wife.

410SA is close; it would be fractional ownership of a MISTRESS--only more demanding and less concerned about embarrassing you with her tawdry behaviour in public!!! "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time"...

Never driven an F40 in the rain when the turbos spool up????? It can certainly result in embarrassing and tawdry behavior!

In all seriousness, here is local company making a go of it:

My understanding is that it very similar to a time-share condo at a vacation resort. You are basically just "renting" the car at a steep rate IMHO....

Fractional jet contracts (not really ownership as much as a cash up-front agreements to ensure terms of availability) work really, really well. I have partnered in race cars, but would never even remotely consider fractional ownership, club membership, or any other scheme in a road car. Pay cash, own 100%, sleep well.
