Very nice and I am glad to see that it picked the right keeper for it's next stage of life. Too many people would see that one as one to immediately pull down to the bare chassis and do a 100 point restoration on.

    Dave,
I have resisted and will continue to resist any chroming, painting, carpeting or leathering.
My dear wife said, "why don't you dye the interior so it looks like new." I just stared at her in disbelief. I told her this car did not make it to be fifty years old to have some short minded new owner disrespect the car by distroying her grace.
One must appreciate it for what it is, NOT for what it could be.
We all know that anyone can have a shinny new 3500GT, all it takes is $$$$.
    Ciao,
    FGM

The Mitchell 3500 #708 received its annual detail and leather treatment a couple days ago and put away for the winter in the heated storage.
Because I am very careful not to cut into the paint there is no power buffing.
It is only clay bared then waxed with a mild cleaner wax.
The leather is treated to three coats of high quality conditioner with NO petroleum.

I fill the tank with non ethanol gas, and some aviation fuel and some Stabil which seems to work well.

    Very nice car!

What is the advantage of adding aviation fuel during storage?

It is leaded and 110/115 octane therefore more stable during storage.

I have been using Effax Leather Cream Soap. It is part of a German leather treatment product line.
    Just Google Effax leather products.

I was at that Broadway house in 2007, attending the Decorator's Showcase.
At some point I was encouraged by one of the docents to see the garage, which not many attendees cared to see.
Inside it was a huge space that had a long driveway, that was a bit steep, that ended in a large flat area with a wood floor. In the middle of the wood floor was a round wood turnstile (just like the cable cars have when they reach the end of the line) so that one could drive in straight, park the car, and then spin the car 180 deg. so that it's facing the steep driveway to drive out of the garage, w/o ever having to back out. Very cool.

Here is a photo of 2901 Broadway where the Mitchell L Mitchell 3500GT was garaged for 48 years.
The house which is next door to Larry Ellison recently sold for over $40 million.

I will try to get a photo of the garage. This house sold for over $28 million in 2012.

Here's a photo of the garage at 2901 Broadway, circa 2007. It appears that I made a mistake as to the location of the garage with the turnstile floor.

Do you have more photos of the garage and the house taken that day?
If so I would enjoy seeing them.
