Yepp, Nice to be able to have them in another place during this process. I'm planning on have the outside done in 4 weeks. (Concrete, floor, Roof, panel windows etc.. inside I will just put hours into it after regular workdays and also have the weekends. Guess with the tile floor and everything... complete done by September.
My friend was cheated and ripped off by R tuned so I would NEVER recommend them ! he bought a aftermarket CF front wing for his F430 and it did not fit ( too wide ) they suggested he send them his OEM front wing which was slightly damaged but very repairable So they could get the size correct . In fact, they said it would be repaired, and they would do it ! he received the new aftermarket CF front wing ( the second one ) and it fit and looked good . when he asked about his OEM wing , the "carbon version" which is $3,800 from a dealer they gave him 4 different stories ! EG lost, destroyed, damaged, and " no idea " ( all documented w/ emails ) and they NEVER returned it ! So we are pretty certain they repaired and sold on the used part ! sorry, they cannot be trusted! The president of Hong Kong wrote to him and the matter was referred for police and other investigation ! Haggerty insurance is also making a theft investigation !
Hi Jan. I'm very sorry to hear about your friend. Was it recently? I can honestly say I dont share the same experience in neither service or products. Phil (becausephilchow) who's also a member and forumsponsor here and work for R Tuned has becoming a really good friend and communications has worked absolutely perfect. Got a full box of parts and they all had a great fitment without any problems. And more parts will be bought in the near future. Again, sorry to hear this. I don't know anything about this but really hope it can be solved.
Thank you ! yes, it was VERY recently ! As i understand, the business has supposedly been sold to a" new owner" ( although they are apparently related !) LOL and he refuses to deal w/ any issues the "old owner "caused . but as said, he has sad legacy of dishonest business practices the former owner committed . so IF the "new owner" decides to bail ,history could well repeat itself ! my friend did get some quality CF parts fr R tuned but also some real crap ! . they sent a front wing that was visually flawed and yes , it was replaced w/a good one but WHY send a part w/a an obvious defect! ( and this was w/ the new owner too BTW !) sloppy ! And he says he could have bought the same part fr a US based vendor for less $ ! caveat emptor indeed ! the CCP does not regulate business as western countries do .
Long time since posting in this thread. Got the car back home some time ago from long time storage when building my new garage. Removed the seats to give it a proper clean. Car been away for storage very long. Took some photos of the center console tunnle and rear pockets in carbon. Bought carbon inserts For my headlights from R-Tuned. Before I had oem ones that was hydrodipped in carbon look. (Liked them but wanted real stuff) great fitment (Glossy ones are hydrodipped) Also mounted the Scud ing Swiss lights. Thanks. Yes, it's a pretty much straight forward surgery so I do the work myself. Took the headlights apart around 3 years ago when I changed the inserts and after that I used a "better" sealer that comes apart easy with just heatgun. Have some more fun parts to install later this week
Contacted this company, seen their products on some hypercars and got a bit curious they look amazing. Filled in their form and attached pictures of my Coupe. I knew they we'rent cheap but guess what the quote was? Image Unavailable, Please Login
1200 Euro????? Also I just noticed your post on the interior light cover. Looks nice. How hard is it to take that cover off? I am going to be replacing my rearview mirror with a backup monitor version and will need to remove the cover to get access to some power for the wireless camera.
Presumably it's heated and cooled to keep your car comfy all times of year? I say that very tongue in cheek, i'm entirely unfamiliar with them or their wares so it may well be worth that much. I would be hard pressed to purchase one at that price though, unless it was a big locking box to store the car in
Im loving it, and a fun way to have it look just like the car (or change color fot that matter) it is probably an awsome material and all but im not rich enough to justify this im afraid But would love to have one They even made the black taillights and blacked out rear end - same as my car.
