Cow hats, LOL! Great promotion. Walking into a sea of cow hats not knowing what the hell is going on - only to find yourself one in the mob a few moments later is great.

 

Man those people are following that stuff like... er... cattle!!!

 

My kids keep asking me "when is time to go get our free Slurpee". So I have been using the excuse all day..."you have to be good!"

Do you think they will give up?

And how do kids find out about these things? Oh yeah, the internet!

 

Ohhhh, that explains a lot. Went to a mall today and there was a big Cow standing outside chik-fil-a.


Personally, I can't stand the food but I guess that's good marketing.

I gave in and took my kids to Chick-fil-A....however, they were way too cool to wear the cow hat!

I went to get my free Slurpee at my local store, and I was told they don't honor those promos, because they are an independent store. Still bought a Slurpee anyway. When the store opened I was drinking 9 or 10 a week. Never had a local 7-11 before. Now I am down to 2 or 3 if it's a bad week. I love Slurpees.

 

By the time we made it to Seven Eleven, the promo was over! WTF? So outta principle I took my kids next door to get McDonald's McFlurry's. What a nutritional day my kids had!

 

Yep, same here. We got there at 10:45pm and were told they ran out of the cups for them at 10:40. We drove down the street to a QT convenience store and got a Freezoni 36 oz. for 69 cents. The free Slurpee was only 7 ounces.......about three tablespoons worth........

 

Hahaha!!! You know he has had a pretty low profile over the past few weeks. He sick?

We don't have ANY Chik's up in Central Oregon.

Or Taco Bueno
Or Chilis
Or Olive Garden
Or Bennigans
Or TGI Fridays
Or Jack in the Box
Or Krispy Kreme
Or Dunkin Donuts
Or cajun food (even in supermarket frozen section)

And no fried okra! If there's one thing I miss about living in Texas, its the food.

We've got two in Covington, and the one in the slidell mall is moving to a stand alone soon. FWIW

 

The Chick-fil-A CEO bought a piece of property where my parents live and uses it for corporate outings. It's a pretty cool home, laid out really well for parties. It had sat empty for a few years and we walked through it. Well, he's a big-time Southern Baptist and doesn't allow alcohol on the grounds. That has to be a downer for the guys looking forward to a golf weekend in Florida when...NO BOOZE??

I do think it's really cool that every store is closed on Sunday though.

 

We have one(Chik) in Oakwood but not any standalones here in NOLA. I forgot about the one in Covington by Circuit City. And for the record there is a Whataburger in Gonzales. But I can only do the 2 hr round trip once every other month or so.
