i think Massa handled he's last lap beautifully. ver nice controlled oversteer he had thru the Imola corner, i think. other than that, BMW seems to struggle in the long corners. the amount of understeer Nick had was crazy. if nothing screws up tomoro, it'll be a Ferrari 1-2. Forza!

Heikki Kovalainen will move five places down the French Grand Prix grid.

The McLaren driver qualified just sixth at the Magny-Cours circuit on Saturday, but stewards adjudged that he should be penalised for travelling too slowly on an in-lap and holding up Mark Webber.

Both McLaren drivers were penalised for a similar infringement at the close of qualifying in Malaysia earlier this year.

The five place penalty puts Kovalainen, a Finn, 11th on the grid, two places ahead of his team-mate Lewis Hamilton, who was penalised for his Montreal crash two weeks ago.

was it worth punishing him? IMO, he did he's best to get outta the way. wrong place wrong time.

    LOL, I like your optimism.

I'm always thinking of the 6 Ferrari drivers, including the Farce India and STR boys.

excellent job by raikonnen and massa things are looking good for ferrari. i really hope kimi and earn a strong victory and regain ground in the championship tomorrow. I don't see LH being much of a factor but Kubica is positioned fairly well to score some good points.

Really? Didn't really watch the 2005 season, finished school in that summer and had other things to do, most of which Kimi too would enjoy ;)

So will they swap out Bordais' gearbox. just to make it complete? -- so far, he's the only one left lining up where he qualified. ;)

Other than the red cars, of course.

I do not believe they move up a car when another is penalized. I think Alonso will still start from the fourth position and the third grid slot will be vacant.

Anyone, have the rules changed for this and I am wrong?

I really thought Massa was going to be pole position... I gotta admit I'm surprised by Alonso's performance with that Renault, fourth place is amazing!!! Finally Piquet JR is among the 10 top drivers...let's see if he will finish the race.
