I would have rather had a Paris street race at night.

Oh no not another street parade. We've got more than enough of them. Even if the new tracks lack soul, Tilke and his colleagues at least know how to design tracks that provide for exciting races.

Did you ever play my track for GP3? Paris by night.

I wrote the track code and made the daytime graphics, my buddy Thomas changed them into the night time version.

Anthony, thanks for this update. That is fantastic news. Paris is such an easy sell to the Mrs.

I think they first of all should replace Tilke. He's responsible for destroying great tracks like Hockenhim ( i just hate that circuit now ). Besides Istanbul, what else great tracks has he done? His silly philosophy of long straights and sharp corners just doesn't work.

Why don't they just use the Le Man's circuit or Paul Ricard? instead of building a whole new circuit it would be much easier to use one that already exists that also meets upto the standard of Formula 1.

Bernie is prolly making more money for running tests there.

It is all about logistics these days and I'm agreeing with that approach. Paul Ricard is in the middle of nowhere and even Le Mans doesn't have terribly much infra surrounding it.

While I'm no fan of Tilke tracks other than Istanbul, I'm pretty sure he could do a decent job given the requirements. I bet the designs of the middle speed corners is driven by financial considerations: The race organizers don't want to loose their venue or have to rebuild it when the cars get too fast. That's why we lost the awesome Hockenheim in the first place or why there is no more Imola (despite the rehab of the pits).
