In a little over a week, the race is in France. I wonder what will happen there? It looks like is should be a great race. Comments.
The Renault fans will be out in droves - the Renault F1 headquarters are "just down the road". I suspect that it will be quite warm there and F1 will be back racing on a real track. It will be interesting to see if Ferrari uses last year's strategy of four stops, or if any other teams might try same. We were there last year and had a great time. (They can't afford any screw-ups there and possibly be faced with refunding ticket holders - our tickets for the two of us for the weekend, including parking pass was just under USD 1,000). Everyone will forget what happened in the US and get along with the business of racing. Carol
Thanks very much and the same to you!! "Sophia" is indeed a very special lady. Interestingly enough our MB have masculine names - "Kermit" for the citron green C coupe and "Kaspar" for the caspian blue SLK 350. I forgot about Michelin being closer!! You going to the race?, if so, enjoy! Have a great day, Carol
Thank you very much as well ;-)) I see your nice Mondial is red, mine too, how about the interior ? Mine is Havana (light brown) and about 40K miles (65K KM). You have also nice choice of MB, great taste ;-) I'm thinking to go for the CLK 320 Cab (but 2001 model, not last one), but last SLK is asbolutly beautifull specially 350 one ! Unfortunatly I'm not going to the GP, 'cause I'm abroad (in India) for business purposes ;-(( Wish you also a great day, and huge pleasure with your T ;-)) Mat.
I myself will not get up in the morning to watch this race. First of all Magny Cours is a flat boring track perhaps one of the worst in F1. Second of all it is on Michelin's home turf and i am currently in a F@$# FRANCE mood. (Eventhough i am 50% French myself). If i see that Ferrari pulls off a miracle then i will watch the replay. JMHO Rob
I'll get up and watch it, and I hope it all comes off well (particularly for the red team), but having suffered disappointment in person at the USGP I have to say that I would take smug satisfaction in seeing a similar embarassment at Michelin's home track. Call it a grudge, but I'm still sore about the 1994 baseball strike (and the subsequent tie all-star game); same principle here: if the players and teams don't care enough to pursue a championship or see an event through to a clear winner, why should they expect enthusiasm from the fans? The seven Michelin teams and their supplier need to show real contrition and make meaningful amends. Trust and respect take a long time to rebuild after being so blatantly broken. And, if there is some similar problem at future GPs, I hope FIA sticks to its guns.
Ah come on Rob, watch it!! Qualifying should be good..Ferrari going last. I agree Magny Cours isn't the most exciting circuit. Hungarian GP is worse IMO.. Prediction 1) Raikkonen 2) Schumi 3) Fisichella 4) Alonso 5) Barrichello 6) Trulli
Good post Ken. Just dont tgell anyone we also own Vipers. I think this place is restricted. haha. signed, Toby
