Hello local Tifosi: Just to give you an update on the event. Things are developing beautifully. We have a stunning event planned. Almost everyone who has attended in the past will be back, along with some handpicked additions. On the car side we have some pretty fast machines: 6 Enzos, (3) 333SPs, a Ferrari F1 car (which will destroy the track record), a wonderful array of multi-million dollar vintage machinary, three special surprise Drivers (one current Ferrari GT driver, and two F1 drivers ), a few celebrity guests, safe but entertaining escorts (police escorts that is), and of course, world class parties. Things are MUCH more grand this year. TRACK EVENT & CONCORSO, "a la carte, for La. owners" On July 1, we will be opening up the track event and concorso to any resident of Louisiana who may have a Ferrari/maserati and would like to participate on an "a la carte" basis on one or both days. Prices will be set shortly. We will have many spaces availible for the track and concorso, but spaces will be limited so you must confirm ASAP. You may do so today by calling Renee or Katie at 504-525-1115, for advance reservation. Send me a response for more info. John W. Houghtaling, II PS: A FEW FULL GUEST INVITATIONS STILL AVAILIBLE For those of you who have attended the event as a full guest in the past, you should have recieved an advanced reservation, a letter and a reminder call about how to confim the reservation if you plan to attend this year. f not contact me. If you have not confirmed it yet you must confirm it in the next few weeks to be assurred a spot. If you have not recieved an invititation and reservation, and have attended in the past please send me a PM and I will send you one. If you are new, and would like to attend, please go to www.ferrarifrenchquarterclassic.com, and download an application form. If you send in an application with a good referral, you will still likely get in. We have a few spots left for full guests. We are 70% booked, but have 20% set aside reservations (which may or may not be confirmed), and will be choosing 10% from a waiting list.
More grand than last year...? Is that possible...? Will 2819 be there...? i miss her. i never received my invitation, so i'm wondering if i'm even still on the invite list... i know there was some trouble with my credit card last year, but i cleared that up... In any case, it sounds like a great event... John, give me a call some time... i got your PM several weeks ago, but haven't heard from you since... Would be nice to chat...
Folks, this party is almost more fun than the law allows. Any of you local folks who don't go are missing a sure bet. John, I'd like to extend an invite to a local Lambo celebrity. Should I PM you privately on this? Thx, DrTax
Hey Dale...If it is Allan Fiedler I got $20 on Carbon,! I sure hope that I can come to this event, yet I don't know exactly where I will be employed come Septemberish (N.O. or NYC). In any event, thanks to John and the rest of the crew for making this amazing spectacle come to life down South in N'awlins
I got two cars to bring now! Assuming they both work at the same time... The yellow one seems to be jealous of her younger sister,......sigh. Carby, need new addy for Enzo frags!!!! Enjoying being a southerner?? Tip: avoid all mention of the "War of Northern Aggression"! Some are still sensitive about carpetbaggers. Speedy"Mint Julip"308
I'll be inviting my parents to come down for that weekend. One of the best events I have ever attended and I won't miss it.
Is there a car show section of the event that is open to the public? I would like to photograph the cars. Thanks.
I would also be interested in taking pictures or at least watching all of those Ferraris drive by in the French Quarter, or anywhere for that matter. Is there someone who knows where & how much money it would cost to see the Ferraris? Thanks.
Well, last year it was free to watch them drive around the French Quarter, so I'm assuming that will be free again. Unless they can find a way to charge a fee to get in to the Quarter?? Humm . . . I think I paid $10 as a spectator at the No Problem Raceway track event and maybe $20.00 to get in to the Concorso. ALL WORTH THE MONEY! And, some of it even goes to charity! Maybe one of this year's organizers can post this year's prices if they are different. See you there, Flash Check out the Schedule listing at their web site: www.ferrarifrenchquarterclassic.com , it has the prices listed for spectators.
Great! I can't wait, and hopefully I can make it to the track event as well, $20 is nothing to see all those cars at the track.
I just got back from the Players Run with 1500 miles on the LM. No troubles at all and I'll be in New Orleans with 7 other F cars from Colorado. This will be again a fun event.. See you all down there. Roland F40LM
Kelly, did you see the Audi slam into the back of the C5R? I couldn't believe what I was watching, that thing really burned fast!
Hi Kelly, This was the same week end and I was again invited to go since my driver was in a 360 !!!! This will be for next year if they still remember me. See you in a few month Roland F40LM
John, Any chance the other events might be ala carte? I'd love to come but can't imagine having the time the get my car there which would negate the track and concours events. Everything else sounds like great fun though. Thanks, Jim
Hi Richard! My mail came back for the video, because I forgot to put the Suite # on it. I'll mail it again...how exactly should the recipient be addressed? TIA
