  2. I didn't understand a word! Neat cars, however if someone else was driving the Countach it would be a different story. First gear is lower on the Ferrari. First on the Countach is very tall. The Countach driver would have to rev & dump the clutch.

Yeah, not only is the video's language hard to understand, but the fact that they don't do multiple runs (improving the launch) or even attempt a closer race is also perplexing. Video is too short in that regard

The Grand Tour's drag race was the exact opposite - the Countach walked away from the Testarossa.

Overcoming that 345 section means that you REALLY have to launch the Countach from a dig! (Especially early cars)

Also to be noted, a 5000S or any QV/Anni would have a much easier time with their increased torque. Horsepower is nice, but in this situation, there’s no replacement for displacement ;)

This result is fairly expected. Early euro spec TR is no slouch!

The Grand Tour Countach was a Downdraft and this car is an LP500S, significant performance difference.

Dual distributors look like a 400S to me. I assumed the bull on the rear was added, perhaps I’m wrong.

I beg your pardon, that's an LP400S, you are correct, I was looking at that from my phone, apologies.

This underscores my point, the Grand Tour car was a Downdraft, significant difference in power between LP400S and Downdraft.

    400S Vs Testarossa

different period honestly...not so fair match
a BB Vs Countach S would be more fair comparison

Testarossa should be put against a 5000S or QV

not to mention the countach was NOT launched
