ah, but could you get the grip down in time to get up to max speed in the distance, that's the trick. Mind you, coming out of the second 90 degree right at about 100 (sometimes sideways by all accounts), don't suppose standing start grip has much to do with it :D

Next one will probably be April time - I'll let you know. Only thing is, as spaces are limited, Craig may give preference to regulars first, so get your name known on PH... Simon and Rick are already on. Testa and a Lambo would be a cool run.

They run just two cars at a time so there is plenty of room, but if someone was worried, single runs are no probs.

Yep, I'll be there for Vmax on the 31st.
Think this is the 6th one!

The record is 202 atm but there are 9 cars (i think) that are capable of the double ton including a 231mph ultima!

    Should be very very interesting!

Are you heading down there in the 348 Al???

and I see a Murci has appeared on the Vmax list!!!

It looks like I'm going to have to duck out of this one - got wife's family round Saturday night and then a very early start to get to V Max on Sunday morning.

    Apologies.

Dave - will you be coming over again this year ?

Dave - I think this years event is drivers and passengers only. (I believe in the past spectators were allowed too)

This is the event on Pistonheads :

    http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/forum.asp?f=133&h=0

"CraigW" has organised it - it might be worth e-mailing him to see if you're allowed as a spectator.

Let us know how you go on.

    Rick

Rick - Any chance of getting Simon up early enough to come down with us lot? No route mentions but it's gonna be fun at that time in the morning :D

And unfortunately yes, that is the case - no spectators, just drivers and official passengers, hence why I am going down in Rob's Porsche. He has even threatened to throw the keys at me to have a go.... 530bhp of 4wd German missile :yikes:

No probs Simon - your exhaust would have probably alerted the Traffic plod three forces down the road anyway at that time of the morning :D

(or three forces back depending on velocity ;) )

    See you down there.
