Friday Night: De La Guarda

Tomorrow, Friday, July 16th, Me & Brad and the women are going to see the 10:30pm show of De La Guarda at the Darryl Roth theatre in Union Square. Brad's never seen the show and I figure that he'd be into it...

The theatre is at 101 East 15th Street (Between 15th and 16th streets on the East side of Union Square)

For those of you who do not know, De La Guarda is an odd, immersive "Performance Art Experience". It was originally concieved by a dance troupe in Argentina. It's a 70 minute show. You stand the whole time and the show takes place just above your head. There's not "dialog" per se, but a lot of loud music and maybe some sreaming...

Tips for Maximum De La Guarda Enjoyment:

- Wear comfortable shoes (you will stand a lot and move around)
- Have a beer before the show (possibly 2)
- Do not wear white (You may get wet when they turn the Fire hose on)
- This is not an elegant night of theatre (It's a wacky, rockin' good time)
