I've been watching Curb Your Enthusiasm and have been wondering... does anyone know where I can get my hands on a copy of the 'Fridays' television show? Larry David, Michael Richards (aka 'Dick'), and a bunch of others were on this show.

    Any assistance would be appreciated:)
    Thanks,
    Adam

is there something to that Curb your Enthusiasm that i'm missing? i saw it a few years ago and it's gotta be the most asinine, annoying, (scripted) crap on teevee. it's like an hour's worth of that cringing feeling you get at a family get-together where the drunk uncle just won't shut the f#$k up and keeps spouting embarrassing bollocks. why don't i 'get it'?

It might be because you're watching it twice. The episodes are only half an hour.

I've noticed you have to be pretty patient with it. Most of the episodes are a half-hour buildup to the final joke just before the credits roll.

    ah

i could never sit and watch it more than 10 minutes consecutively... they show it at like 3am here, and the last thing you need at that time is the agitation of watching some loser's neurotic 12-year-old-like sense of self-awareness.

Actually, it's that sense of discomfort that makes the show so entertaining, IMO. Also, it's pretty much ad-libbed, only the outline of the plot is scripted.
Ash, give it another chance or 2. It really is very funny.

FWIW, I hated Monty Python's Holy Grail movie the first time I saw it. Like alot of great comedy, when you stop taking it at face value and explore the subtleties, it becomes absolutely hilarious!

Yeah, if you don't enjoy the type of comedy where you see a setup and have to live through an embarassing experience with the character, over and over and over again, Curb Your Enthusiasm is not for you. I thought the show was funny but I still don't like shows where you see a person get stuck into a bad situation. Real life has enough of that feeling IMO.

Ah, but that's what makes the show so special! I loved Seinfeld, I love Curb, in fact I have all three seasons on DVD. Larry David is my hero! When I look at him, I see myself; a whiny, self-centred, neurotic jerk, surrounded by mad people. Love it. Love it. Love it. :D

tried watching it when it started and could not get into it, Then when rerun season came and nothing to watch I gave it another chance on comcast on-demand. It really grew on me and now find it very funny and looking forward to it's new season. Favorite character is his agents wife, she is such a foul mouth beatch who cracks me up
