hey all one of my buddys is looking at buying a new murci coupe. he is also contemplating the new roadster as well. i have just started my investigation. so far the only one i have found is a murci roadster with 130 miles on it. asking price is 349K but the salesman told me that the price is negotiable. is it possible to buy either of these cars back of MSRP? i tried the search option but i could not find anything too specific on the info i was looking for. my experience in very high line cars is that there is quite a bit of discrepency in what a car is worth. seems to be that there is an imbalance of buyers. the ones that do not care and will pay anything to have the first one or the have it now attitude, or there are also the guys who want a good deal regardless of how much money they have. does this seem accurate? from the research and it seems that he could save alot of coin if he bought a year old one with very low miles. only problem with that is that some of the warranty is up, and i would bet the farm that a warranty on these cars is worth its weight in gold. any feedback is greatly appreciated!

I've been doing some research as well on a few cars I am interested in. You are right that getting a slightly used one with few miles will save you TONS of money. There are a lot of people out there that have the cars, but they sit in the garage, and are not driven. My friend just turned in his 04 G-car with 1200 miles and his P-car with 500 miles. He took the depreciation hit for you already, so best bet would be to pick up where he left off. Buy it, and drive it.

You are also right that there are those people that have so much money that they do not care to negociate the price. They pay what is asked, no questions. Dealers love these people and dont move a lot from their posted price because they know these people will come in, and they will make more.

My suggestion to you is to find a slightly used, low miles car, and buy that rather than brand new. Granted a bit of the warrenty is eaten up, but...it also depends how old you go. 05 = not much...04 = year old. So if that bit of money (Between BRAND NEW, and SLIGHTLY USED) is the deciding factor, used is the way to go.

    Drive fast, drive safe.

Yes, to my knowledge that would be a fine offer. My friend just bought an 05' E-gear for $305, so $300 will most likely get you what you want. This is just a coupe, not a Roadster.

I would look in the NY area. Every weekend the NY dealers adv. many new 05 M's with "Special" pricing. I very much doubt you have to pay msrp.

Try Manhattan Motors, Kerbeck and Lambo of Bergan NJ. I've seen an 03 with 10K Black asking 199K for months unsold.

Actually, I sell exotic cars. It's usually people who worked hard for their money that negotiate hard. But the one's that got lucky, or got it handed down to them, or even the one's in entertainment are the easiest people to make money off. Some dont even know you can negotiate on an exotic vehicle, lol.

yes i have found that to be the case. the people that do not negotiate are the people that keep money in your pocket. when those guys come in the door everyone goes home in a limo. LOL
