  1. I am glad to hear from my friends in and around new orleans and that they are safe. Thank all of you as well who asked how we were doing.

For anyone trying to contact me please note my temporary email as [email protected]

I am currently living in my home in Seaside Florida. I've always wanted take and extended stay here. So, careful of that old gypsy curse "careful of what you wish for, you might get it"!

As for the FQC, while it will be postponed, it will happen. We are looking at March (or same time next November) We will be communicating directly with all of you shortly to give you the option of being reimbursed or holding your spot.

The good news is that the next FQC will be spectacular. We have choosen a very appropriate focus of our charity. As many of you know the FQC cannot happen without the support of local law enforcement. When this terrible storm was heading our way, about 1,000 men and women of the NOPD stayed to protect the city. In the aftermath, these men and women, through great risk to their own lives, held the city down for seven days with little food, water, with little sleep, no electricity, and in horrendous conditions. Most of them lost everything they owned, and stayed to do their duty without knowledge of their whereabouts of thier lovedones. Most are now homeless. Two of them broke, taking thier own lives (one reportively after his family drowned).

These brave men and women will be the focus of our charity this year. Ferrari North America is in talks with Guiseppi Risi to donate a 430 Spider to victims. This may happen at the FQC, and for the benefit of this charity.

Franco and I have recieved a flood of well wishes which we will direct to this goal. We have been in touch with several celebrities who have discussed donating their talents to provide the next FQC with celebrity musical entertainment for the event.

For Franco and I the next Ferrari event in New Orleans will be very special. The next event will be one of the first symbols of the rise of the new New Orleans. We will be in touch and hope to see you there.

    John,

Great to hear you're doing alright.

Definitely sad to hear some of the impossible situations the New Orleans Police had to face. Its really sad that much of New Orleans survived the storm and flood just to be ruined by the looters. I hope the US and National Guard are developing plans to mobilize as the storm comes in next time... so that the local police get the support they need to maintain order in a time where they need to just be watching out for their own families.

I'm glad to hear you plan to target them with your charity efforts... they got a raw deal, which hopefully will never happen again.

We were very much looking forward to the FFQC... will definitely attend whenever you move it, if we can. I imagine March will be tough for some as they'll already have Spring Break commitments. (We do.) Feb or April... we're there! Next November... already on the calendar, so to speak.
