Does anyone know the real source of the two types of front grills available from the likes of Maranello Classic parts and Euro Spares? MCP told me theirs are new old stock, so the real thing and priced at about £900, and Euro Spares have one called 'pattern' at about £550. What is the difference and has anyone bought either of these and can compare? Superformance grill is the exact same price as MCP, so are they getting original Ferrari grills?? Any insight gratefully received. Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I believe the ones that Superformance sell are made in Australia. Very good quality I bought one to replace my damaged one and virtually can't pick the difference. I don't know whether the euro spares one is from the same supplier or not. www.enzotech.com.au under "parts/merchandise" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank for that. Yes this one would be the equivalent one to the 'pattern' grill offered by Euro Spares. I guess my question would be about the 'original' expensive ones as I assume these are after market reproductions as well, but why are they so much more and how is it these are not 'pattern'? Hopefully someone knows. Would be good to know who makes what. Anyway, I've bitten the bullet and ordered an expensive 'original' one from MCP. Best wishes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just had a look on the MCP site at their grill and it has "MP" listed which means it's a Maranello approved part, so I would say it too is a "pattern" part Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ok, that would tell us that actually it's comes from the same manufacturer as the part advertised as pattern, but £400 more expensive! I did note that Superformance previously had two, one pattern and one original, £400 price difference... but no longer. All very confusing, I'm sure I'll be able to put it out of my mind soon.
