Hey guys. I've been racking my brain for a couple months now and my two brain cells are worn out. My 2005 360 Spider is sending a continuous unlock signal to the Front Bonnet opening actuator whenever the ignition is off and the doors are closed. If I open either door or turn the key to on the signal stops. So if I park and lock the car, the hood immediately unlatches and the alarm goes off. To make the car useable I've pulled the Bonnet opening actuator fuse and use the mechanical release, There's a microswitch located with the opening actuator but I'm pretty sure all it does is turn on the luggage compartment light and start a timer for the light. Any thoughts?
Sounds like an electrical short, wear on the wiring harness. Time to start tracing and find out what is shorted.
