    Hi,

Car has just come out of 6 month hibernation, battery fully charged etc no issues running except.....

When the front boot lid is closed the icon on the dash keeps flashing that the boot lid is open.

I have removed the panel in the front bonnet and completed a continuity test on the micro switch ... it is functioning, and when you lock the lid with the lid open the switch is depressed fully and is triggering.

The solenoid that opens the boot lid is functioning fine also.

Is it possible to get this as a spurious error in an ECU somewhere that a battery reset will resolve?

Or has anyone else seen this issue with another resolution mechanism... hard to imagine its a wiring issue....

    Thanks in advance

    Problem solved......

Noticed my front boot light wasn't working......coincidental with the dash indicating boot open.

Appears both the boot light and the locking mechanism limit switch for the bonnet are on the same circuit.

Fuse was blown.... replaced the fuse.... everything normal again.

    Number 9

There was no issue with the actuator... the limit switch which tells the instrument binnacle the bonnet is closed is on the circuit with fuse 9. fuse 9 was blown, so it was showing an open circuit even with the bonnet closed.... hence the bonnet open graphic flashing permanently.

Nice of Ferrari not to have this in the manual.... simple solution though.
