Hi guys, Could 355 owners have a look at the gap between the top of the front bumper and nose piece at the front and tell me if they think it is too big. Its about 6mm. I think I looks better if the gap is smaller, but im not sure what the factory intended the gap size to be. Is it meant to match the gap on side and rear bumper in which case it looks about right. Some 355s have the bumper almost hard up against the noise piece with a very small gap. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've found this to be somewhat inconsistent across different cars. I should say yours looks quite good; some cars are inconsistent even just across the width of the front bumper.
I personally think yours looks good. I feel it looks best when simulating an even line around the car.
Agree about it matching the line around the car. Now, what about how much it's pulled in on the sides? I see huge differences amongst the 348 and 355s I've seen.
Adjust it via the four nuts innthe trunk area after younhave toen all of that apart, then onnthe sides you must remove the rock guards on both sides to gain access to the sude adjustments. But its not some tight gap, these cars have been apart since the factory and younwant them even. Have any of you looked at the gap between the rear bonet and the fenders? Its huge from.the factory. Id like to find the factory specs for his bs like in a bodyshop manual. The car must have measurements for the frame and body as well as the factory gaps at each panel. It's not consistant at all on so many cars we have all seen its kinda obvious. Trying to use standard body gaps from the normal gaps on cars over the years the 348 and 355 don't seemed to fall into the "normal" range on these.
I just adjusted the gap of the rear bumper on my 348. I had to do it at about 6 mm as the side brackets would not allow it to be any closer (when at the highest position). It looks right to me, matching the side line-gap. Not my car: Image Unavailable, Please Login
