Can anyone explain the Ferrari front fender badge. I am guessing it is an option. Just bought a 2001 360 and could not find much information pertaining to this. Thanks for your help in advance.

Yup, option. Some people don't/didn't like it as it was historically reserved for racing cars IIRC.

IIC it was a very expensive option ($4k?).

Many opt for the aftermarket stick on ones. There are gel ones which are cheap and then there are metal ones. They are model specific thou as the curve of the fender is different. A lot of dealers stick on the aftermarket ones.

The new carbon fibre ones are very nice if you have a car colour which goes with them.

That $3k was for those Italian workers to make those recesses in the fenders to accept the shields. I guess it took a long time to do each one. :)

Thanks for the info. Really appreciate knowing the dealer has metal one that can be installed. Car I bought does not have them and we feel it looks better without. If I change my mind in a year or two. Perfect upgrade.

My car came with the gel ones. I blew them off with a power washer - no damage to the aint or clear coat. I ordered as set of yellow metal ones from one of the Fchat members. And then introduced the carbon fibre ones.

The CF ones look great and it gave me food for thought. So I did not install.
If I go with shields in the future, I'll likely do the carbon fibre ones as my car is Grigio Titanio and I'm going with a blackout theme.

I have a set of the metal yellow shields that I picked up on E-Bay. I'd like to put them on my Euro 2000 360 but the curve does not match. Can these be heated and/or bent to fit? What is the best way to apply? I would think that with the 3M tape they would stick out and not look right.

I have a set that could use a little help matching the contour as well I was thinking that hot water might help but I am not sure what it might do to the paint.
