Anyone know how to replace from glove box push button? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
You need to remove the faceplate that contains the center three vents in order to get to the back side of the button. The workshop manual will tell you that you simply insert a flat blade between the front of the switch and opening to compress the spring. Trust me, it does not work. Much easier to take the time and remove the face plate (and stereo plate as well if I remember correctly). You can then access the button from the rear and depress the springs holding it in place. I found it was easier to do it this way then removing the glove compartment. Been there, done that.
Check here for pictures and some explanations. It’s not difficult at all. NO SHARP TOOLS !!!!!!!!!! https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/mode-set-trim-piece-removal.655804/
Like Dominic is showing in the pics, it's the two flat springs you need to compress. Accessing these springs from the back will ensure you don't mess up the leather on the dash.
Hope you give it a go !!! I did it twice when I was sending my original to be redone at StickyRX. I put in a spare, so I wasn’t in a rush to get it back. Just remember, nothing sharp and you will be fine !!! Good Luck, Dominic
