I just bought a Stabilus SG137001 from Liftsupportsdepot.com. Perfect fit, works great. Their website lists it as a direct replacement of the Ferrari P/N. Cost about $35 verse $300+. This is a Stabilus gas strut with a wire spring clip retainer versus the original which has a flat spring retainer that acts as a keeper for the socket on the ball. But all the other dimensional and force specs are identical. Strut comes with new balls that are nut and bolt threaded to the car. No need to remove the old ball mounts, the new part will fit right onto them.

It turns out the hood strut of one strut model F430 is identical to 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, part no: sachs/stabilus SG404018
just check strength, I would recommend about 60lbs. probably 80 lbs is maximum. just push against a bathroom scale and read the number.
I don't know the two strut models.
