I've seen some interesting brackets on different cars and from what I've learned , Ferrari does not supply a factory bracket for the front licence plate. So I am curious how does your front licence plate mount on your 355 (if you even use one).
    Pictures are welcome!

My current mount for my front plate is behind the passenger seat my 355 when I bought it had a plate that was mounted to one of the bars on the front grille which had been drilled to accept a regular license plate brkt. I had that filled and repainted as it was not doing anything for the appearance of the car. I have been pulled over twice and given speach 52 on having to display the plate and I think I have one on order from someplace but its on backorder at this time.

Mine is under my front carpet so I can whip it out and put it in the window when necessary.

I have seen some mounted to the grill on 'L' brackets, but I have not managed to locate these brackets with the plastic hardware (although these are easy enough to make with a trip to the hardware store). The brackets screw into the side of the grille uprights, with an L in the bracket to screw directly onto the plate itself. If you do it this way, the holes in the side of the grille uprights are innocuous and barely visible if/when you remove the plate/brackets.

I just take the $60 ticket once or twice a year and leave the plate off my car.

If you did that in the land 'down under' you'd be up for a lot more $$$ than that in fines.

I tries that carpet thing as well. I got $150.00 fine & 3 demerit points of my licence (in Victoria). I argued till i turned blue and finally told the copper to **** himself about the demerit point. After again arguing with the copper at the station later that evening we had the latest roads traffic regulations sent over and to my shock the 3 point thing was only introduced the week earlier.

2 weeks later I copped an EPA notice in the mail regarding exhaust system informed by the same cop.

Ive just used some self tapping screws into the fron bumper after that.

why dont you just buy a stick on vinyl plate and have it made small to fit on the front bumper on the underside, it is legal and it looks so much better than having a regular plate fitted and there is no need to screw and damage your grille or bumper

Hey Mark the inovative Scots as usual I am from Johnstone originally most cops over hear will give you a warning before a ticket we had an event last year just outside Dallas where 20 Ferraris were ready for a scavenger hunt when a police car pulled up he had driven through the parking lot and noticed that he could have written 20 tickets for no licence plates but only commented on it and left.

Thats a great idea, and I would do that as well, but the Police in NY gave me a ticket for doing that once on my Vespa.
