Front licence plates....

i dont have a front plate on any of my cars. never gotten a ticket but was warned once. told him it was in the trunk wich was the truth and he let me go.

 

Agreed, I have had one for some months now and it works like a charm.

 

If you think this is evil try parking in the city with tints for more than an hour....

 

I use # 14 electrical wiring. It sort of fits the personality of the car.

got a ticket overnight for no front plate......ugh

 

I like to pick my battles and this just isn't one that I want to spend a lot of time and effort on. IMHO, the cost of the plate clip is well worth the peace of mind.

 

Yep, many cities/towns are seeking $$$ to make up for lost taxes so things that weren't ticketed before are now getting ticketed.

 

Damn this thread!! Pulled over in Portage Park today and ticketed for no front plate, I did good all spring and summer

 

My plate clip just showed up. Very nice!! The zip ties are coming off in the morning!

 

MF, wow, this is like 2 in almost one week. Got another no front plate ticket, parked on Chicago side street!

After years of driving around sw wi and nw il without front tags, officer friendly in elizabeth il has a cute little speed trap setup just outside of town yesterday, doesnt get me (thank you valentine) and then proceeds to pull out behind me and follow me all the way through their equally cute little town. THEN pulls me over for no front tags. Informed me that his friend has a Mustang and HE took the time to drill holes in the front and mount tags, I can too!

I just smiled and took the beating, then went on my way. We were planning on eating and stopping to shop at some of the businesses there, we didnt.

Legislation ? Im not holding my breath.
