    Hi Gents,
Unfortunately I live in a state where they require a front license plate. I do not wish to attach a front plate to my F430 but with the fine at $100 a pop I am apprehensive about how much the missing plate will be used to pull me over.

Anyone with experience on this and worst case has anyone attached a plate.

Plenty of solutions out there. There are some that attach in the tow hook socket, but that blocks air flow to the right hand side rad. Site sponsor Carbonio has one that attaches to the air inlet in the center that feeds the under tray and diffuser. Yes, it would likely disrupt airflow and downforce to some extent, but not at the type of speeds where you would use it. If you are on a track where downforce maters, I doubt you would leave the plate holder in place. If you are in a state where you need a front plate, that's the one I would probably go for myself.

It'll be used when they decide they want a reason to pull you over. So for example, late at night coming home from a party or something.... easy excuse to check on you to make sure you aren't drunk, run your name, etc.. Also an easy add on fine if you get pulled over for speeding.

Most times, the officer is cool about it and gives you a warning and off you go. Really depends on the local law enforcement and who you run into. With a car I had in the past I played off the old "car didn't come with a bracket and didn't realize it was an issue" type thing for a while. Never got a fine, but pulled over a few times only at those times late at night and they want to see what you are up to (live in the Chicago NW Suburbs). Eventually gave up and got a bracket made for the car at the time.

I'd do as a previous poster said and look at that bracket.

I used exterior grade Velcro. Held all last year and still going.
No idea what the adhesive will do to the paint though.

Haven't had a front plate forever. Only time I was ticketed was while overnight parking at Chicago's O hare International Airport. Apparently the Crime in Chicago is so under control that the city can pay police officers to troll city owned parking garages.

I have a removable mounting bracket that clips onto the lower horizontal member of the egg crate grill on my 360. Not made anymore, unfortunately.
