In MA, we have the requirement for mounting a front license plate at yearly inspections. Given that there are no mounting provisions on the front end, what are the preferred non-destructive methods of mounting a front plate for those of us that are required to run one? I would think that a tow hood mount would be the easiest, and it appears that a grille-clipped solution was available but links are dead, and the original manufacturer passed away in 2014, implying it is NLA.

Note that MA requires plates to be mounted roughly perpendicular to the ground, unobstructed, unaltered (no trimming or bending), and "secure" (no zip ties).

It will be on the car for all of the annual hour that it takes to inspect the car, then come right off. With other cars, I had used a factory plate holder double-stick taped to the front bumper.

There's a cheapo temporary mounting "system" that uses the tow hook hole that's good for inspections. I'll see if I can find the link.

Fabspeed has created a very nice mount for the 355. They say they will have one designed for the 348, but I have been waiting for a year so far. Might get the 355 version & figure out how to modify it to work on a 348.

I have the fab speed mount and I only use it for the bi annual inspection. Kind of pricey for an hour once every two years but it works nicely.

I run the Fabspeed mount. Got tired of the police asking me where my front plate was. In NYC there's a toll booth every 32 feet or so, and while I never was ticketed it was still a hassle to be pulled off the line and lectured. I leave it on all the time and at this point I don't even know it's there. It's so low it doesn't distract from the looks of the best looking car ever designed.

That's it. As I said I only put it on for bi annual inspection which I did this year so it's out away for two years.

I screws into two of the underbody panel locations and that is it for attachment to the car. It projects out and up with rubber standoffis to keep the nuts off the bumper.

Correct - fugly but the OP needs a solution to get thru inspection so that is cheap and easy.

I leave the tow hook one in the trunk in case I'm pulled over.

I do the same and use the tow hook model. I did strength it a bit with a piece of aluminum in the slot before the washer.. seems to make it a bit more rigid.

Maryland has a bill that's been passed around where vehicles that were never designed to have a front plate are exempted.. but it keeps getting shot down.

I always use the excuse (since the car is always clean) i just came from a show and forgot to put it on... :D
