I've seen pictures of Euro cars with sticker tags on the front - someone mentioned that before, I believe. Why would that be an issue? Of course, where I live (Indiana) - you don't need front plates!
Actually I have no idea if it is still permitted. At the time I took the photo (in Oberbayern) I had just taken the car out of storage and it had no license plates. I put the original Italian plates on just to have something on it while it was parked outside the garage.
I guess that you're still allowed to have those old-style plates, but the new ones issued will surely be the big 'normal' ones. Nevertheless, nice cars - und schöne Grüße nach Oberbayern aus Unterfranken
Hi Brandon, It is a 1980 Series 2 Montecarlo. In the States it was called the Scorpion because of the Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Mine is modified so it looks a bit different from the standard car. It was designed by the same folks (Pininfarina) and around the same time as the 308.
Hi Florian, Thanks for the compliments. I left Oberbayern in 2004. Now I'm in Unterfranken also Where are you in Unterfranken? Please send me an email to my private address: [email protected]
I basicly, sprayed 4 coats of clearcoat on our lisence plates and I tested them with flash and without and it worked fine.
