Anyone in Missouri (St. Louis Metro) get harassed/ticketed for not having a front plate on your Ferrari? I have just purchased a 355 and there is no way I am going to put a plate on the front.

I have lived in Joplin for 6.5 years and have never put the front plate on any of my cars. Has never been a problem.

Whats a front license plate.........I have never been pulled over in anything I have owned for not having one on.

Its a non-moving violation if you get pulled over, of course you won't go much over the posted speed limits and your in a sports car and won't get noticed so why worry.

    Hay Blink,
Welcome to F-car ownership! Have you contacted the local club? We would be glad to have you on board - great group of enthusiests.

I have tooled around all over St. Louis and have never had a problem. I do keep the "front" plate behind the seat. THe posts I have read concerning this say that many times the driver is let off with a verbal if you can produce it. THey just want to make sure it is not on another car. You can also use the excuse that you have a bracket on order from Italy and have not received it yet.

    Jim,

Thanks for the helpful tip. I wasn't keeping the plate in the car but I will now. Also I like the Italy line. I did join the local club too.

    Thanks
    Brian

I have been pulled over several times for not having a front plate, but each time the officer said he really just wanted to see the car. Each time I just gave them a good tour of the car and told them the next time they see me in it without a passenger to pull me over and I'd give them a ride in it. Everyone of them has had a ride!
