I am in search of a F12 as a daily driver, I located one that does not have a FRONT LIFT, (I don’t know if this is going to be a deal breaker) I live in Southern California and I am wondering how imperative having a Front Lift is ? Can owners and drivers chime in please. I just sold my 599 and it does scrap often exiting driveway. Has anyone owned a 599 and a F12 that can offer me some real advise on the approach angle on both cars ?

You will need the lift. The F12 is lower than the 599

Agree ... you will need the lift. I had a 458 (no lift) which never scraped the driveway and my F12 scrapes the drive EVERY TIME unless I use the lift.

I just purchased a F12 and I would for sure have the lift or a good paint and body man.........Car is lower than my 458 which has a lift as well.

I have the front lifter on mine and I only remember one occasion on a very steep ramp when I needed to use it. In all road bumps and most garage ramps that the F12 has been through the front lift wasn't needed. Even if the lifter isn't used often it's always good to know that is there if required and in the case of my F12 because the spoiler and the diffuser are carbon fibre the last thing I want is them rubbing against the floor.

The F12 has these little flaps that hang down under the front bumper. I think the 599 has them too, but I think on the F12 they hang lower/ the car might sit just a drop lower than the 599. I think if you are scraping now with the 599, you will want the lift. In my daily driving I never had a problem with the F12 height, but it seems you have a specific circumstance. As to approach angle, are you able to take the slope at an angle?

Thank you all, I also have a 458 now, it does not seem to scrap as much as the 599....

The lift to me provides peace of mind. I cannot imagine not having it. Deal breaker.

I ordered the lift on my new car, but I could get away without it IMHO, at least around here. But I do use it.

Most of the time you can get around without the lift.
...and then comes that one time when you absolutely must have it or you end up with a damage to your car.

Hi I have an F12 and use the Lift a lot. It is essential especially if you are parking in a car park building.
