I'd always wondered if they were the same. That's a good find.

I wonder who used it first? The prototype Countach doesn't seem to have them. I wonder if they got adopted by Lamborghini only after Ferrari started using them. Or better yet that they are really off of some Lada or something.

i think they are off another car. we matched them up years ago, but they are cheap, so finding the source car has notb een that much a priority.

I did find that Toyota tie rod ends work on the 308's. They are a perfect match on my 208. i posted them in the cross ref thread i started a few years ago in the "sticky".

Cool thing is, this tie rod end is also used on modern Toyota and Kia cars, which explains why they are only $11.00 each from rockauto.com.

great thread, its amazing the things you will notice that are shared from cars of this era.

Actually your only partly right there Mikael! I thought this too originally...

The Lancia Beta assembly with the flat lenses was the same as used on the 308 GT4 only!

The 308 GTB/GTS, carby and injected cars, base is slightly larger than the lancia/gt4 base and is the same base unit and lenses as used on the Countach and Jalpa!

    Ask me how I know!-LOL!

Peter, did this tidbit get registered in the sticky thread yet? Somehow I've got the feeling that it will be useful to me one day ;)

I'm pretty sure the Lamborghini LM002 SUV uses them too. Does anyone know if Lamborghini uses the clear/amber one in all countries? I only see the clear/amber ones on Lambos.
