For an up/down adjustment like that you need to remove the front bumper to access the hinge bolts.

Yep, someone had it off and didn't put it on right.

Yup like me need to adjust it.

As another point of referance some of the gas struts can make the hood sit funny as well so if you just changed those you may have the wrong ones.

    Hey guys,
Just how difficult is it to remove a 355 front bumper? With only a floor jack. I need to make some adjustments.
    Thanks

It's not very difficult but it's heavy. Get a helper. Use blue painter's tape to protect edges - more the better.

Putting it back on is more fun :)

May be some tack welds on that parts corners besides being bolted on

They has a crazy way to align the front structure during production, very Italian way I should say LOL

Saw hinges with a tack also.

Some days were better or worse on the wine consumption in the body shop

Remove both front wheels and inner liners.

Then bolts inside front bonnet and bolts inside inner fender liners infront of where wheels were.

You have some adjustment without removing front bumper. you have adjustment at the hinge where it bolts to the bonnet also. i would try here first. 2 or 3 mm makes a big difference.

    Regards

That won't improve the OPs issue. As has been said its the hinge half behind the bumper. That few mm you talk about is ok for adjusting the front bonnet gap but its minor. It dosnt control the bonnet hight when shut. Ive just been there myself on a friends car and my own last year.

Yes, my issue is height. I tried adjusting at the points you're talking about but it did not do much.

Did you disconnect the gas struts before attempting adjustment? They can force the bonnet up at the front in my experience. Ive no idea apart from that presuming everything is undamaged. Just curious, Looking at the hinge bolts are they at the top of the holes in the hinge half or is there room for more movement down.? Screw one part way out to have a look.
