While reading the new Evo I noticed what looked like a large wheel gap in the front of the 612. It just seems to have more than enough clearance. Now everytime I look at it, all I can see is this huge gap both on the 612 and now the 599. I don't know if it's just one picture that has jarred my perception, or if it is what it is. For some reason, I can't shake it. Is it just me, or do these cars have quite a bit more room than the other models?

It's a front spoiler clearance issue. When you drop the front down too much, the clearance issues are horrible. My TR had nice, small gaps in the wheelwells but I'd have to drive sideways over a manhole cover or it'd scrape. My 456 seems to combine a nice wheelwell aesthetic and a reasonable nose hight.

I think part of my problem is the illusion that is given by the shape of the fenders. I think they accent the gap and make it look bigger than it may be.
