Hi, i've got some questions about the sealing of the fronthood and the airinlet. 1. Where does the water go when its raining its falling direkt into the airinlet and then? 2. I got a new sealing for the fronthood because when i bought the car there was no sealing installed. But now the hood is pushed a bit higher because of the sealing. Is that normal because its new .. or something else wrong. I think about remove some metal unter the sealing to get it a bit lower. On the driverside its only a bit where the headlightpod ends. On the passenger side its all the way to high. _____________________________ Samy Image Unavailable, Please Login
You can adjust the latch on the "hood side" of the mechanism, so it will pull the hood down flush upon closing.
I did this but then only the first inches after the latch is ok the rest is still lifted by the sealing. I can adjust the latch that it pulls the hood even more down then i get something like from latch to headlight first part too low middlepart ok near headlight too high I saw on some pictures that other 348/355 also sometimes had this problem but not that big like on my passanger side that only the first inches from the headlight to the latch are too high. Since the subject came up........... What is the force of the hood gas risers in both ends of the car? The front hood as well as the engine hood have gas risers of 400 N. All four are "kaputt" and need to be changed. Shall I buy new ones of 400 N or stronger or weaker? Anyone with experience? Rgds, Ben
