As we await brother Robert's getting the car ready for shipping... He told us yesterday that, among other things, the brakes are 'frozen ' and he needs to address that before he can move the car. The Mondi has been on jackstands for a while, in the Florida atmosphere... I've had similar issues with autos left idle for a spell here in Washington; both required new rotors, calipers, and pads....Any thoughts out there? Where's a good place to buy parts?

I'd look into having hte calipers rebuilt by Goldline Brakes here in Seattle as they are close enough you can visit. I suspect they can get the required arts for the calipers. As far as the rotors go, I don't know the options--if they could be turned or not. Probably a good number of sources for them.

I think brother just doesn't really want to ship it...

I'd just unstick them and get the car going. Pull calipers and get pads off the rotors, reinstall all and it should be unstuck. If the car was driven to where it sets. The true repair can be part of the recommissioning.

Remove wheels gently tap with hammer against pads to get them unblocked.

When you go over the car:
Clean rotors and check them for pitting
Fresh pads (also if other were ok)
Check dustcaps calipers - overhaul calipers when dustcaps are shredded ( dust & dirt got between cylinder & piston. New rubbers and a good cleaning will do the trick most of the times. If corroded replace pistons. I made new ones in SS for my Lancia. bullitproof.
Needless to say: change brake oil - and purge the complete system. Brake oil DOT4 is hygroscopic and all internals will corrode + under heavy braking water in the lines will boil, become air --> and that's a thing we don't want isn't it. 😉
